About 67% say they won't
prescribe the lethal drugs, a survey by
state officials found. The
state is the only one that allows patients who have six months or less
to live to ask doctors to prescribe a lethal dose of drugs to end their
lives. Six of the 15 people who ended their lives by lethal prescription
last year were turned down by at
least one doctor. "I haven't
been trained to kill people," cancer
specialist Jana Reddoch
said. "I've been trained to help them
live as long as possible."
